Whether your skin is dry and aging, or oily and clogged, pores are a problem for ALL skin types! These little mouths of our skin gape at us in angst when the skin’s needs are not properly met.
Sometimes, large pores are not an outcome of an imbalance, but something genetic. In that case, while they’re not indicative of an imbalance, they may end up causing imbalance without proper care, as dirt, oils, pollution and such debris may collect in these large, inviting mouths and land you up with clogged, dull skin that is prone to breaking out.
The modern world has found an interesting name for this type of skin, with visibly large pores, and that is, ‘Orange peel skin’.
Often, this makes the skin bumpy, uneven in tone and dull in complexion.
Add age to this, wrinkles, lines and large pores have a party together! Just as not all parties are bad, but all of them leave the place in a mess, you do need to ensure that your pores are cleaned-up and your face gets the nutritious support that it needs to look plump, smooth, hydrated and healthy.
So, while large, open pores should not be much of a vanity issue, they do tend to hinder skin-hygiene and can become a blockage to get that super-smooth, healthy skin look, which some also call the ‘porcelain-skin’ look.
