Petroleum jelly may make some skin conditions worse. After an injury, the skin naturally forms a protective film, which helps prevent further damage and infection. It also interferes with the formation of this film.
Clogging pores is another thing that Petroleum jelly does. While some of its versions promise not to clog the pores, what it definitely does is cause skin to react and cause breakouts by forming a especially when it's used regularly.
