Say, ‘Rouge-aah-haaree’ and you’ve spoken the wonder-word!

What is this Rujahari® Oil and why all the hype?

To answer this question, let’s walk through this little fictional story...

A 45-year old woman is travelling through Asia with her 76-year old mother. The last destination of their trip is India.

By the time they reach India, the mother is tired (discomfort in her lower back has already been bothering her for the last 7 years). By now, not only is the mother tired, the 45-year old daughter too is exhausted. (Not that she didn’t know the way her body felt was gradually changing, but in her mind she was still too young to think about such things.)

On their second day in India, they visit an Ayurvedic Center.

They meet an Ayurvedic practitioner and tell them about their concerns.

The practitioner recommends a 1-hour massage therapy session each, with a particular oil, and they go for it.

Days of exhaustion seem to have worn off in that 1 hour and the daughter gets off the massage bed feeling
super-energized.

The therapist asks the daughter,“How did you like the massage?”

super-energized.

The therapist asks the daughter,“How did you like the massage?”

The daughter, in a slow but steady voice replies,

“It was incredible. You probably saved our holiday! Just when we walked in, I felt like I was done now and had no energy to explore this city, but here I am!”

She pauses. Then suddenly turns her head and asks,

“By the way, what was that oil? It seemed like something very different. I mean, it wasn’t the usual fragrant Oriental Coconut and Jasmine or French Lavender sort of oil. It smelled like herbs, but even for an herbal oil, had a very different feel to it, I don’t know how to describe it!”

The therapist smiles and says,

“You’ve been oiled by the stuff of legends, ma'am!”

The daughter is confused and as they walk out, she sees her mother at the counter, picking up 3 bottles of this oil!

Even before the daughter could ask her mother, she beams at her and says,

“I FEEL SO GOOD! I’m taking 2 bottles of that oil, one for your dad and Jodie too (her sister)”

The daughter turns to the therapist and asks,

“I’ll get one too for Wynn, my husband! He might like it if I massage him with this, he's been feeling very low on energy of late!”

The therapist says,

“This is why, ma'am, I said that this is the stuff of legends!

At this point, she pauses and walks them both to a board on the right wall of the room.

She points at a chart pinned on it and says,

“In fact, the traditional Mahanarayana oil (which Rujahari Oil is inspired by) is used for many purposes in India, the Ayurvedic Formulary of India (AFI), a Government of India body under the Ministry of Ayush which looks after the affairs of alternative health systems other than allopathy, mentions various uses."

“But that’s not all.”

She turns around and looks at the daughter directly and says cutely, in her heavy Indian accent,

“Your husband ‘Vinn’ will love it, ma'am!

This oil has 46 herbs, many of which have been heavily researched. You can find the research papers online yourself!

Take, for example, Ashwagandha."

Ashwagandha

[Withania Somnifera]

“This herb is documented to be a Rasayana herb (translated from Sanskrit as 'that which promotes longevity')  and is traditionally used to provide strength and is useful in general weakness"

- Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India, 1999; Chunekar, 2011b.

It’s a very popular herb but few people know about its several benefits!

She walks back to her desk and opens her drawer to pull out a packet of what looks like dried roots.

She shows it to the mother and daughter and says:

“Another effective herb that goes into this formulation is Shatavari".

Shatavari

[Asparagus Racemosus]

Asparagus is touted as a ‘female tonic’ and has a glorious reputation in Ayurveda!

She puts the packet of Shatavari back into the drawer and gestures them to take a seat.

As both the mother and daughter sit down, she continues, "There are also ingredients like Gokshur, which is a part of many traditional Ayurvedic joint-related formulations!

But honestly, even if I wanted to, I couldn't talk about all the herbs in this meeting, ‘cause it contains over forty herbs, each of which has tremendous benefits...

"The base oil in which these herbs are meticulously cooked is Sesame Oil. And while it can seem like just another simple cooking oil, let me tell you, the research results will surprise you!"

Til oil

[Sesamum Indicum]

- has several research papers backing its benefits for soothing and moisturizing the skin.

The daughter said,

“Wow! This is quite an oil!”

and before she could finish, the therapist interjected, "and that’s still not all! One of the renowned Ayurvedic texts called, 'Bhaishajya Ratnavali' says:

‘Using this oil for regular massage also makes the body attractive and strong. It supports aging and helps maintain youthful energy till late in one’s life and promotes longevity.

'We use this oil a LOT here and people are very, very happy with the results!"

And this is why we, at Holisco, brought Rujahari® Oil to you!

Tough to pronounce?

Well, this oil is tough on trouble too, and that’s a good thing!

In Sanskrit, ‘ruja’ refers to suffering and ‘har’ refers to the one who ‘seizes’ or ‘takes away’ or 'liberates'.

In India, not only does the traditional formulation promote great skin, this oil is very popular for its use by those who wish to massage muscles or joints and remain active.

Why did we choose this oil to bring to you?

Rujahari Oil contains both Saffron and Turmeric as well as five other important herbs that have been individually as well as collectively researched in India for powerful soothing effects. These are called ‘Laghu Panch Mula’

 – They are Solanum indicum, Tribulus terrestris, Uraria picta, Desmodium gangeticum, Solanum surattense.

Not only this, Rujahari Oil contains four other herbs, which in addition to the above five, consist the Dashmoola (the 10 herb collection with exception of just one herb.)

How is this oil different from others?

It’s not your instant pain-relief balm - this oil is such an entity in itself, it would be a folly to try and categorize it or even to compare it with such products!

With its truly mighty formulation with 40+ herbs, it's a strong poly-herbal unguent and a great way to stay young, active and flexible as it's completely natural and safe as the traditional formulation has a sound Ayurvedic basis.

Based on a Classical Ayurvedic oil, this oil is not some simplistic mix of essential oils that provide instant, temporary results. This oil is made with exotic herbs, not easily accessible here in the West, using procedures as prescribed by ancient Ayurvedic texts.

Now, we all know travel causes Vata imbalance. If you’re asking "What on earth is that?", well, you know that dryness of mouth and throat you feel on flights?

Dry skin? Gurgling of the stomach when you're anxious about something? Cracking of Joints?

All of these happen when the element of air and space (Vata = air + space) becomes imbalanced. Travel quickly disrupts Vata but Vata can get aggravated at any time, particularly in cold, dry weather conditions.

And this is one more reason to get your bottle of Rujahari Oil, now because iYURA’s Rujahari Oil is great to balance Vata aggravation!
