Abhyanga is the Ayurvedic practice of self-massage with warm oil, and is highly beneficial for the skin on the neck and décolleté area.
It helps nourish and moisturize the skin, improve blood circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage, which can reduce the appearance of puffiness, taut the look of saggy skin, and improve skin tone.
Take 1-2 pumps of Yauvari Face Oil and dab it all over your face, neck, and décolletage.
Start with gentle anti-clockwise circular motions along the neck, moving upward and outward.
Next, perform long strokes along the neck going upward extending to the chin.
For the jowls, let your fingers rest on your chin and then make them glide along the jawline to the ear in opposite directions (again, the area needs to be amply moisturized for that smoothly gliding motion).
Next, move to the cheek area. Use long circular motions, going from the jawline to a little below the under-eyes. Now, start from the base of your nose (both sides) and in a swoosh motion, move towards your temple. Then, with a flat palm, place your 4 fingers (except the thumb) of both the hands on the centre of the forehead such that the fingers face each other. And with gently pressing yet firm strokes, glide outward towards the temples.
And Voila! Your skin will feel a rush of youth while feeling firmly moisturized (not to mention the relaxation that you'll experience). Do this every day and you'll soon start seeing a firmer, more lifted, and more sculpted look of your skin.
Pro-Tip: Add these Marma Points to your massage routine to unlock the maximum potential of the massage!
Massaging marma points, which are vital energy points located throughout the body, including the neck and décolleté area, through gentle pressure can help release blocked energy, promoting improved vitality to the skin and underlying tissues.
For the neck and décolleté, focus on these 2 key marma points:
Krikatika: Located on either side of the neck, just below the jawline
Hridaya: Located in the center of the chest
